The Lamb opens the first six seals. The first four release the four horsemen: conquest, war, famine, and death. The fifth reveals “the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God,” crying, “How long?” and told to rest a little longer. The sixth brings a great earthquake, the sun black, the moon like blood, and the terrified of the earth crying to be hidden “from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
