John measures the temple, and “two witnesses” prophesy with great power for 1,260 days. The beast kills them, and the world gloats over their bodies, but after three and a half days “a breath of life from God entered them,” and they rise and ascend to heaven. Then the seventh trumpet sounds, and loud voices declare, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever,” as the elders worship.
