Oppressed by Jabin of Hazor and his commander Sisera with nine hundred iron chariots, Israel cries out. Deborah the prophetess summons Barak to battle at Mount Tabor; he insists she come along, so she foretells that the glory will go to a woman. The LORD routs Sisera’s army, and as he flees on foot, Jael lures him into her tent and drives a tent peg through his temple.
