As Babylon besieges the city, King Zedekiah sends to ask Jeremiah whether the LORD will deliver them, and the shocking answer comes: God Himself is fighting against Jerusalem, and the only way to live is to surrender to the Babylonians. The house of David is warned to execute justice or face the fire of God’s wrath.
