Elisha makes a borrowed axe head float, and repeatedly reveals the Aramean king’s secret war plans to Israel. When Aram sends an army to seize him, Elisha’s servant sees the mountain full of the LORD’s fiery horses and chariots, and Elisha strikes the enemy blind and leads them harmlessly into Samaria. Later the Arameans besiege Samaria so severely that famine drives some to cannibalism, and the desperate king blames Elisha.
