David leads the people in giving lavishly for the temple (gold, silver, bronze, and precious stones) offering willingly and rejoicing, and he prays one of Scripture’s great prayers of praise: “Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power... all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours.” Confessing that all they have given came first from God’s own hand, they worship, and Solomon is made king a second time with great joy. David dies “in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor.”
