The gatekeepers are assigned their stations at every side of the temple to guard the house of God, and the Levites are appointed over the treasuries and the dedicated gifts. Others are set as officers and judges for the affairs of Israel outside the temple, showing that the worship at the center orders the whole life of the nation.
