The fourth vision shows Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD in filthy garments, with Satan at his right hand to accuse him. The LORD rebukes Satan, declares Joshua “a brand plucked from the fire,” removes his filthy garments, a picture of taking away iniquity, and clothes him in pure vestments and a clean turban. Then God announces the great promise: “I will bring my servant the Branch,” and sets before Joshua a stone with seven eyes, declaring, “I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day,” with a vision of peace under vine and fig tree.
