John is caught up “in the Spirit” to heaven and sees the throne room of God: One seated on the throne “like jasper and carnelian,” a rainbow around it, twenty-four elders on surrounding thrones, and four living creatures full of eyes who never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty.” The elders cast down their crowns before the throne, worshiping God as Creator: “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things.”
