Proverbs study chapter

Proverbs 27

friendship and diligence“Iron sharpens iron,” the faithful wounds of a friend, and knowing the state of your flocks.

The chapter treasures friendship and honesty: “faithful are the wounds of a friend,” “iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” and “let another praise you, and not your own mouth.” It also commends diligent attention to one’s responsibilities (“know well the condition of your flocks”) since riches do not last forever.
