Jesus marvels at the faith of a Roman centurion and heals his servant, and raises to life the only son of a widow at Nain. When John’s disciples ask if He is the Coming One, Jesus points to His works and commends John as more than a prophet. Then, in the house of Simon the Pharisee, a sinful woman weeps at Jesus’ feet and anoints them; Jesus forgives her sins and declares, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace,” teaching that she loved much because she was forgiven much.
