Jesus goes to the garden, where Judas leads a band to arrest Him; at His word “I am he,” they draw back and fall to the ground, and He gives Himself up to protect His disciples. He is taken to Annas and Caiaphas, while Peter denies Him three times. Brought before Pilate, Jesus testifies that His kingdom is not of this world and that He came to bear witness to the truth. Pilate, finding no guilt, offers to release Him, but the crowd demands Barabbas.
