At Bethany, Mary anoints Jesus’ feet with costly perfume for His burial. Jesus enters Jerusalem to cries of “Hosanna!” as the crowds hail Him, fulfilling Zechariah’s prophecy, and even Greeks seek Him. Jesus speaks of His death as a grain of wheat that must fall and die to bear much fruit, and of being “lifted up” to draw all people to Himself. Despite His signs, many do not believe, fulfilling Isaiah, and Jesus calls people to walk in the light while they have it.
