The final chapter turns to the day of the LORD as judgment on the nations that have oppressed and scattered God’s people and divided His land. God summons them to the “Valley of Decision,” where multitudes await His verdict, calling, “Beat your plowshares into swords,” as the reversal of judgment. But for His own people the day brings blessing: the LORD is “a refuge to his people,” the land flows with new wine, milk, and water from a fountain out of the house of the LORD, and God dwells in Zion forever, for “the LORD dwells in Zion.”
