God continues His survey, now of the wild animals: the mountain goats and deer that give birth unaided, the untamable wild donkey and ox, the foolish yet swift ostrich, the war horse that laughs at fear, and the soaring hawk and eagle. Each creature lives by a wisdom and freedom Job did not give and cannot govern, further displaying that the world runs by God’s design, not man’s, and often beyond man’s understanding or control.
