God renews His promises of healing, cleansing, and joy for the ruined city, assuring that He will fulfill His word to the house of David and the Levites. Again He promises the righteous Branch to spring up for David, under whom “Jerusalem will dwell securely,” and the city will be called “The LORD is our righteousness.”
