The LORD answers that He was ready to be found by those who did not seek Him, while a rebellious people provoked Him with idolatry and self-righteousness; He will judge them but preserve His servants, “for as the new wine is found in the cluster.” Then comes the glorious promise: “I create new heavens and a new earth,” a Jerusalem of joy where weeping is heard no more, life is full, and “the wolf and the lamb shall graze together.”
