The idols of Babylon, Bel and Nebo, must be loaded onto beasts and carried off, a dead weight; but the LORD carries His people, “even to your old age... I will carry and will save.” He alone declares “the end from the beginning,” and His purpose will stand, so He calls the stubborn to listen and to trust the salvation He is bringing near.
