God indicts Jerusalem as “the bloody city,” full of violence, idolatry, oppression of the poor and the sojourner, and every kind of corruption among princes, priests, prophets, and people. He looked for someone to “build up the wall and stand in the breach” on the land’s behalf, “but I found none,” so His wrath will consume it.
