Despite repeated warnings from the Spirit through others that imprisonment awaits him, Paul is resolved to go to Jerusalem, ready even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus. He is warmly received and reports what God has done among the Gentiles. To answer rumors, he joins in a temple vow, but Jews from Asia stir up the crowd, seize him, and try to kill him. Roman soldiers rescue him from the mob, and Paul asks to address the people.
