David sings a great psalm of thanksgiving (nearly identical to Psalm 18), praising the LORD as his rock, fortress, and deliverer, who reached down and rescued him from his enemies and from death. He celebrates a God who is faithful, mighty, and merciful, and who has kept His promise to His anointed, that His steadfast love endures to David and his offspring forever.
