Hezekiah invites all Israel and Judah, north and south, to keep the Passover in Jerusalem, sending couriers even to the remnant of the fallen northern kingdom. Though some scoff, many humble themselves and come, and though not all are ceremonially clean, Hezekiah prays that the good LORD would pardon everyone who “sets his heart to seek God,” and He heals the people. The feast is kept with such gladness that it is extended another seven days, a joy unequaled since Solomon.
